Predictions for 2013
As 2012 comes to an end, Greg Ness, our VP of Marketing, asked me to put together my top 3 cloud-computing market predictions for 2013. Here are my predictions and I would love to hear your comments and thoughts:
1. Hybrid Cloud adoption will gain momentum – New tools and technologies automating the steps required to run existing apps and services seamlessly across data centers, colocation facilities and public clouds will accelerate hybrid cloud operating models in enterprises.
2. Public Clouds will become a secure and cost-effective option for failing over application workloads from enterprise data centers.
3. The IaaS and PaaS platform distinction will continue to blur as new technologies emerge that allow you to run new and existing apps, including the underlying Operating System and platform services, on IaaS public clouds, and thus bringing all the benefits of PaaS platforms without requiring the apps to be built on top of a particular PaaS platform.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank our early access customers and users for believing in our vision and technology and deploying our software in production and dev/test environments. Wishing Happy Holidays and a wonderful 2013 from all of us here at CloudVelocity!
